New CD Deck Installation (Help)
Hi, i have a 2000 Mustang. I removed the factory Radio/Cassette deck & the factory CD player. I cant find the connection for my speaker in the dash. I found the connection for the powering but nothing for speakers. I was told that there's a factory amp in the car and that's where the audio cables are connected from. Can someone tell me if that's the case? On the back of my Radio/Cassette deck, there was 2 big metal rectangular connection plugged into the back and 1 on the back of the CD deck player. What are those connections for? Would that come from the factory amp? Would i need a harness for those also or they are useless for my new Alpine CD/MP3 player that im trying to install?
Can someone give me a quick details about this? i'm a little confuse and been out of music for over a week.
Thanks a lot for you help!!!

If I am reading your post correctly, all you need to do is buy the wirining harness' to convert from the factory plugs to wires. Then solder in the correct wires to the supplied alpine wiring harness. I did the same job on my 01 (to an alpine) hardest part is trying to fit all the wire back in the whole and get the cd player to recess into the dash correctly. I did not have to deal with a factory amp. Hope that helps as I know in 2000 they had a funkier deck setup IMO.
I got your pm and replied, this answered a couple of questions I had.
Do you know if you have a mach or premium sound system? could you get me a pic of the hrns's that are on the back of the radio?
