I know this is kind of a dumb question but. I am replacing my Mach 460 system with a new headunit and 4 speakers. But I cant figure out
What Size speakers I need ! I have a 1996 GT convertable. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

 

Go to http://www.crutchfield.com/, punch in the model an year, and they'll list everything that fits. Everything I've got from them has fit perfect.

 

I did that but it lists me like 20 different sizes. Can anyone just tell me what size I need for the front, and what size I need for the rear.

 

You can use any of those speakers. Usually the biggest one is the size of your door cutout. The smaller ones come with an adapter to make them fit. Crutchfiled is by far the best for compatibility.

 

What are the actual sizes that I should use though. Im sorry if im being difficult. But crutchfield is just leading me around in circles.

 

5 x 7 front and rear, but 6.5's are an easy fit as well.

 

Even though its a Vert ?

 

bump, I still need to know if their different in a vert.

 

I am 90% sure that they are the same but for some reason I have a little doubt which is strange, they might be 6.5's.

You can work the cover off with out too much trouble and easily see if they are round or oval.
