Default tryin to hookup my speakers

ok i have a 92 mustang lx coupe. i bought it off a frined last week. he has the speakers in the dash, just stock i think. and i wired up the deck today. he had the speakers in the trunk. but i just put in a box with 2 speakers in the trunk off those wires for now. he also hooked up good speakers to the doors and ran wires to the trunk for an amp. i just dunno how i go about hookin up speakers to an amp. with the positive and negative for left and right side. and if i need a 2 channel or 4 channel amp. so if anyone could help that would be great. thanks.

I can definately help you out with this, but first I need to know exactly what you are doing. Are you trying to hook up a sub to the amp in the back or is it just a set of 2-way or 3-ways? Also, how many speakers total are you trying to run off the amp?

your going to need amp wiring kits, speaker, and sub wiring kits. if you have those than nvm. It should be pretty straight forward.

then number of channels determaine how many speakers you untimetly want to drive. this is not always the case. but 90% of the time it is.

ex. 4 channel amp - 4 speakers

How ever 2 channel amp and be BRIGED to drive 1 speaker or as many speakers as you want in uninison and long as the impendance is correct.

do seperate amps..one for the speakers and one just for the amp. it will be easier to setup your highs and then your bass. but this is my opinion and how i have setup all my systems in my car and others cars.
