Default Suggestions on system??

Hello from San Diego! I am new to the forums, and a new mustang owner. I have done some research, but I think I know less now than when I started. I am looking at adding some subs and ipod controls to my new 06. I like the idea of the shaker 500 6 disk in dash, but may eventually go to in dash DVD. Right now I am just looking to add some Bass. Any suggestions on what is going to sound good and still leave a little room in the trunk? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

kenwood excelon.....10". They are damb nice, a little on the pricy side, but you get what you pay for. They sound insane!!! Crisp clear and powerful...what more could you ask. I have put in a 7" in dash kenwood excelon DVD player, kenwood mids and tweets and 2 subs in the trunk. Best setup I have ever had.

What amp are you using to push them, and what type of box are you using? I was looking at 12s, but if you say the 10s rock, I may look at those. Also, I have heard that hooking up an amp to the stock unit will make you lose the juice going ot the stock door subs...and input on that?

I was looking at the basslink setup. I assume it sounds good or you probably wouldn't rep 'em. How is the response on some double kick drum beats? That seems to be the music I am listening to most lately, and I'd just like it to hit harder than what it does right now. Let me know.
