I have a coupe with two 12'ves in a bandpass in the back seat. Im Running a two channel 800 watt Profile California amp. I hit plenty hard. if you want just one ten or 12 I would recomend the 12. the 10 is good but it wont hit as hard as you want depending what type of 12 your getting a 400-800 mono block amp will be sufficent. if you get a dual voice coil sub you can run your amp at 2 ohms wich will give you more power. as far as your trunk. just get some thick rubber weather stripping and put it where its vibrating it will take care of that problem. if your putting the sub in your trunk. face it toward the back. you will get more sound out of it compared to facing them toward the front of the car. umm if you need to know more just let me know I do custom car audio installation.

I would recommend going to your local stereo shop and talking to the sales guys, yes, they will try to sell you audio equipment, but that way you can become familiar with what you are looking for and what type of equipment your going to get for your money. I would suggest getting a good head unit to start off, then you can expand your system gradually, unless your going to just drop the bomb and do it at once. A system can be added to as long as you plan ahead and buy quality equipment. One sub either way will be suffecient as long as you have "good" quality amps to push them. I will say separates up front would be the way to go, but that requires a bit of custom work to get them to fit in the stock locations. The rattles will come, but that can be taken car of by noise deading spray-on material or stick on material. Systems only sound as good as how much you put into them.

Good luck!

if you get a good cd player. those three MTx 10's and that amp. a good set of components for the front and rear. and Dynomat the trunk. your car will definetly set off a couple of car alarms. im more into SPL than anything else. I personaly don't like MTX havn't had good experence with them we did a sound comparison with an 8000 series MTX against a 100 dollar Audio Pipe. and the Audio Pipe blew the MTX out of the water. using the same amp for the both of them. But I did have a friend with an S-10 that had Four 12" MTX 6000 and Two MTX amps. it was so loud when I sat in is truck I couldn't feel myself breath. so its all up to you. you can also check out like www.cardiscountstereos.com I've purchased stuff from them they are pretty good or your local Car Audio dealer. Im not sure where you Live the Ultamate Audio is big in florida.
