What would be the best sound set up for 2 alpine type r's and one mono block alpine v12 amp....as of right now i have them set up in what is actually a 10 box and the wiring was done funky by best buy so my amp cuts off when the subs are turned to high

 

Your amp is probibly thermaling off becuase it is ran at a lower then recommend load rating. The jl audio site has some nice walk throughs on matching subs and amps. Just check your voice coil config and lowest recommend amp load.

 

well how do i fix that? I know that this one amp can power both of these subs...i dont know if i have to bridge them or something...I have two 12' Alpine Type R's and An Alpine V12 mono block amp. When i bought them they were the best that best buy had to offer and the guy said i only needed one amp.
