Need help deciding on system upgrade
Missing my Shaker 500 (2006 GT I traded for has a base stereo system), I want to upgrade everything. I listen to rock, punk & metal, and I was hoping someone could give me advice on this one. Here is what I'm looking at:
Kenwood double-din deck (already have)

Inifinities:

Kenwoods for the rear:

and front:

Sony for the front?

I'm basically looking to have a set-up that will have power. I'm not big on bass itself, but I would like for the music to sound full, you know? The fuller the mix of the highs, mids and lows, the better. The stock set-up feels pretty hollow - you can blast it, but it feels empty - and I was wondering if just upgrading the deck & speakers will be enough. Would just upgrading the deck & speakers be good, or should I look into getting an amp as well?
I have a number of options here...I could go all 4 Infinities (I read they fit even if Crutchfield doesn't say that), or I was thinking of going with the Infinities in the back and the Kenwoods or Sony pair in the front. Another possibility is going all Kenwood. Anybody have any experience with these and this kind of music?
Thanks in advance from a newbie...

I would suggest getting a nice pair of 6 1/2's for the front and amp them, then sound deadin the door a bit. Im not a fan of rear fill, so I would jst get a cheap pair of 6x8's and run them off the head unit, but that choice is all up to you. I have those infinity in my truck, but 6x9 and they sound alrite getting about 30rms. I find the highs a bit harsh, but not really bad...overall a good speaker. Also a bit of advice....go to sounddomain.com and find the stuff you like, then find it somewhere else online and have S/D price match it. I once got a pair of mb quart speakers that were supposed to be almost 600 bux for a tad over 250[sm=happy046.gif]
