I have a 99' v6 Mustang with the factory Mach 460 Sound system and had a few questions. I was talking to a car audio guy from best buy and I asked, "I can just put in a new head unit right?" And he says something like...No, you cant do just a head unit because the 460 sound system is all one unit, and then he says if I wanted to change something I would have to change the whole sound system....Is this true? Also he said I could add some subs and of course an amp with keeping my 460 sound system and it would work well.....Is this also true? Thanks everyone.

 

ok, first and foremost QUIT getting your stereo advise from any person in best buy. There are a few people in there that know what they are talking about but you are more likely to get a computer guy or video guy talking like he knows everthing.

Page 2 in my signature covers how I installed my deck into my mach 460 system. I did it a little differently so I can control the factory subs with my decks variable sub output, it doesn't even have to be that hard........

Also, do not buy audio equipment from best buy............
