to hook up a ps3 or a x360 to any car because im thinking of doing this to my ram 1500 not a stang but what would i use?

There's a product made by Belkin called AC Anywhere that will allow you to convert a cigarette lighter socket to an ac outlet. It can be purchased just about anywhere: Radio Shack, Ebay, Buy.com. Hope that's what you're looking for.

 

its called a power inverter. Don't get the cheapes you see and try to match the inverters power rating to the power rating of the componants you plan to install.

well both would work but i need one that i can hide so it doesnt stick out of the cig lighter socet.

one that connects drictley to the battery or somthing.

 

Some inverters I've seen have a detachable cigarette lighter so that it may be wired straight to the batt or "run" power source. If not, just cut off cigg lighter adapter. Just connect to something behind the dash with power when the car is in run and ground out. If connecting straight to battery, install inline fuse. Mount inverter under the pass seat or dash.
