Default Shopping Around...

Just trying to get a feel for the setup I want, really. My last vehicle was a Wrangler, and I can't tell you how horrible it was to fit ANYTHING into that bastard. I had to end up with the Basslink, which was a nightmare! However, I now have a ****load of room, because I don't really drive people around in my car, so, let the fun begin. I went to my buddy, and he said that I could do an entire setup for under $1000. Reading around on some posts, is that possible? I thought a full setup included .. the deck, 2 subs (12"s?), 1 amp for subs, 1 for speakers, and speakers. Does that sound right? Help!

Yes that sounds about right. Even though most people go with a sub setup of 2 subs. Does not mean you have to do that. In my last car I had a single sub set up. I would get a good deck find a 4 channel amp to play front speakers and bridge the last 2 channels on your sub or subs. YOu really don't need speakers in the rear deck unless some one is sitting in the back seat. Hope this helps.
