Default dvd player install

so for my 04 gt i got a dual dvd player head unit and i am having some problems. first it says that i can only watch the dvd player when the emergency brake is it. does any one know what i could do to bypass that problem. also when i hooked up the wires it sounds as if the speakers are not that good. almost like it sounds like the radio has no bass. is that because the stock head unit had something in that made it hit really hard and this after market one doesnt?

i believe this was posted b4...hook up the emer brake wire to any power wire( I believe )

did u have the mach 460 sound system in it b4? The 460 uses 2 amps in the back of the trunk to push the speakers

I also have an 04 gt with the mach 1 sound system. I had a dual dvd, touchscreen player installed. The brake line I believe has to be grounded to something in order for you to watch all the time. As for the speakers, my installer had to run new lines from the head to the doors and amps. Once everything is hooked up, it'll be awesome. Hope this helped some.

you have to ground it to the frame or something, or if youre worried about cops, ground it to a switch so that one way its ungrounded, therefore, cannot watch it (if you get pulled over) and flip it the other way and you can watch it

oh yea thats def awesome help. i tried grounding the parking wire with another ground wire but didnt work. i guess ill try that. yea my friend actually had that done in his car with the switch to make the dvd player not work. i didnt understand that till now. thats awesome. yea i figured that other harness was for that amp in the trunk. im guessing im just gonna have to bring it to some tune shop and have them finish wiring it up. i want it to be right and im not to sure about what i need to wire up to get that amp working unless someone here can run me through it. thanks for the help guys.

hook it to a normally open switch (pushbutton) then to a ground. this works on a pioneer dvd. when the warning screen appears, push the switch and let off. the dvd should work then.

parking brake wire will need to be grounded, the foot brake wire goes to a +12v source.
