hello evry1 im nu to this but ive been working and saved up 500$ i was lookin into gettin a jensen in dash lcd (which is in my budget) but i was wonderin if ne1 had any better ideas as a first mod... im 16 nd so far my 00 is stock except for the two tone paint. i have no idea were to start so any suggestions would be appreciated

If I were you, I would start with the deck and speakers. IMO, Jensen is a lower quality head unit. IMO, Pioneer, and Alpine make quality products that produce quality sound. Alpine is more expensive, but probably the best IMO.

For speakers, that is something that you are better off going to the store and listening and comparing for yourself. Again quality products include Pioneer, Alpine, Polk, Infinity, IMO.

Once the deck and speakers are done, then you might think about a subwoofer and power amp if you would like to go that route.

Take it from someone that knows, do it once and do it right. I can't tell you how many things I bought when I first got started, only to turn around and upgrade to better quality down the road. It might take longer, but you can't go wrong with spending a little more now. Hope that helps.

I put the Jensen Screen in my 2000 gt. I Really like it. Still have the factory speakers in there.
