Default Another 460 Question...

I am planning on getting a 2000 mustang...Only thing is, I'm not sure if it has the 460 system in it...All I know is that there's a tape on top, cd deck on bottom...

My question is, I want to put a new alpine deck where the tape/tuner is, and take the cd out and cover it with a plate...If this is the Mach 460 system, would it be better to just connect the deck to the speakers, or to get the adapter to use the new deck with existing amp and 460 system? I'm not too familiar on how this particular audio system works...

So how do I determine if I have the mach 460 system or not?

Is there anybody who has had this same problem?

Sit in the car (one of the front seats) Look at the bottom of the side window that is closest to the front. If you see a black speaker with the Mach 460 emblem on it well....... you have it. You will also have two large speakers in the very back (Near the heads of the back seats not the trunk) With the same emblem on them.
