Tuning My New System
I've got my system in and installed, it does need some serious tuning though.
There is a noticable lack of midrange, and this is my first attempt at tuning a system.
I've got a set of Polk sr 6500's powered by an Alpine MRV F345 as well as a Seas Lotus 12 inch sub powered by a jl audio 500/1 with an Alpine CDA 9857 head unit.
Obviously there is a lot in the way of flexibility for adjustments but I need some advice for a starting point. Should I set all the EQ levels on the head unit to neutral and tune the amps then go back or what? If I find that I'm really not getting to mid range I want would the addition of a external equalizer help? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
