Did you check the remote and ground? A test light will be your best friend here. Make sure you have all three connections and that they are good. The remote should only power on when the deck is on, so don't forget to turn your radio on when testing that connection.

Also, I would check and make sure that the battery terminal where the amp connects isn't badly corroded. If it is any of the above you might get lucky and a good cleaning with a wire brush is all you will need to do to fix the problem.

STOP TOUCHING STUFFF.......... You probably need to replace the fise in the radio for the remote turn on to start. The sparks you saw should have lasted a second or two while you GROUNDED THE REMOTE TURN ON TO THE AMP CHASSIS........ For future reference, that is bad and you should not do it. We need ya to get out a volt meter or test light and then we can get you through this, if you don't have one you can get one for a few bucks at an auto parts store. You need to check the power connections at the amp with the radio on and off.

1ST of all don't touch ground to remore. the amp has 3 power connection. power, ground and remote. you said fuses are good. power is an always on 12volts from the battery, ground is any body part of car. the remote is a 12volt switched on with key/radio. if you been touching remote or power to ground or the amp itself check fuses again. if good, take a piece of wire and touch it from power on the amp to remote on the amp. what this is doing is giving the amp the turn on voltage it needs. if the power light doesn't come on then. remove the amp from the car and use jumper cables from the battery + to power, - to ground and a piece of wire from power to remote. if it doesn't work then you need new amp or to get this one fixxed

oh yea if the amp powers up on the 1st try. the remote turn on from the radio is must likely bad. if it turns on with the 2nd try check all wires. you will need a volt meter or test light for that.
