Default question about stereo install

Hi, I just recently bought the Dual Touchscreen in-dash DVD player with the fold out screen. I was going to put this in my 02 Mercury Sable but found I had to re-wire the entire car. I was wondering if my 93 Mustang will have to go through the same thing or if I can just by a simple adapter for it. Not to mention soon I will have to worry about the parking-brake deal in order to play DVDs so if anyone has the know how or the kit to bypass that (just so I don't have to dink around with wiring it to the parking brake) that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is a kit you need to get for the sable. It doesn't really require a complete re-wire, and the kit has everything you need.

You can put it in the stang also. It will either be easy(if its a mach system), or really easy(if its a non-mach system). Page 2 of my signature shows how I wired my cd player into the system.

Depending on how the dual is wired up, you may just be able to ground the parking brake wire and have it work. I know my Pioneer nav system was like that. For your 93, you can just buy a wiring harness adapter at any car audio store, best buy, etc for like 15 bucks, and wire it to your stereo harness.

Don't worry, I did my homework. The thing got some good reviews. It't not like I'm gonna buy any speakers or subs from dual. But on black friday, a stereo with a touch screen flip out monitor for 350 bucks couldn't be passed up.

Yes it could.

Everyone doing reviews on those are 1 of 2 people. 1. Someone that has never owned anything better and doesn't know how crappy it really is and 2. The trash of america that thinks $350 is a steal for something like that and has to buy and and will be super pissed off when in 6 months the screen, lense, amp or display goes out, then that $350 could have been put into something that will last you 10x as long.

Anyway have fun, Enjoy!!
