So I want a system that when you drive by people go "Omfg, did a live band just drive through here?!"

jack hammer, also a guy here is selling kicker solo x 12's at a steal of a price... nothing a solo x cant do - its literally loud enough to make your ears bleed and shatter your glass, so be careful

 

A solo x is nothing compared to loud. If you want loud you want spl competition. Peronsally, I can't stand idiots with your personality who drive through my neighboorhood at 2 a.m. blaring there two 12" mtx's, or type r's. I hope your stang blows up.

I have 3 Kicker CompVXs and over 3K watts powering them, but I don't go blasting them at 2am , hell I don't go blasting them at all when I am driving, in fact I have a seperate EQ setup for driving that has them set extremely low, but for competitions and general hanging out in parking lots or tailgating its nice to have. Personally I would not wish a blown stang on anyone and would ask nicely in the spirit of the holidays that you grow the hell up and let people do as they will, since you don't know what he is going to do it makes no sense to bash him because you have no desire for a loud system in yours.

 

alrighty, my 2000gt was a competition sound car.
Now heres what i had and it was about 1300 after install and build, was crazy loud. Barely breath on the inside and im now possibly deaf. Its not aloud but trust me its loud

Cadence competition midset consisting of titanium tweeters, 6" mids, powered by a seperate alpine 150x2 amp powering the components
Costum built ported 3cuf box

I might of forgot something but that was an insanely loud system, you missed it i just sold it ALL INCLUDING WIRING for 300 bucks

i have a system for sale, alpine type r 15" in a custom box, 2k max, 900 rms, amp'ed to match, with all wiring, $1100

 

Sound Quality > Loudness.

Get you a nice Kicker or Pioneer system. Get all of your stock speakers(Doors and Rear) replaced. Have a custom box built for YOUR trunk, put a couple of 10's or 12's, I prefer the 10's, and find the appropriate amp for the wattage needed. I suggest buying everything yourself, and paying a reputable shop to build the box and wire everything.

All in all, Im fixing to replace every speaker in my car and drop 2 pioneer 10's in a rear seat delete, with the appropriate wattage amp and a custom box built to the back of the seat delete with dual chambers, one for each subwoofer, and I'm looking at spending around 1400 for the whole thing. All in all, I kno it will sound AND look good in the end.
