Aux Jack and IPOD
Hi,
I have a 2007 with aux. input on the center console. I have no sound when I switch to the aux input on the radio, with an Ipod plugged in.I would appreciate any help. I wonder if it is a problem with the car, or I'm doing something wrong. The car has a Shaker 1000 system.
Thanks for your help.

There's a couple of possibilities as to what it could be.
1) The iPod is not playing. My PSP's buttons were getting accidentally pressed when I closed the lid on the console, stopping or pausing the MP3 play.
2) Check the connection from the iPod to the AUX jack. It might be that the cables aren't pushed in well; my dad's iPod 1st gen iPod Shuffle requires the headphones to be pushed in snugly, or else you don't get any sound out of it at all.
3) Check the volume level on the iPod. What might sound good for a set of headphones might be too soft to hear on the Aux input.
4) Check volume level on the stereo. I've discovered that I have to turn up the volume halfway with something playing on the AUX input, versus when I listen to a CD or the radio, which might be related to issue #3 (I haven't tried cranking the volume level up to max on my PSP for sound yet).
