Default Question about amps/radio

This is my first mustang so I am new to these radios. I bought the car with a Pioneer HU (DEH-P6400)already installed and I added xm radio to it. I noticed when I was hooking it up that I had 2 orange plugs behind the radio that were not connected to anything. I took a look at the 2 amps in the trunk and also found a plug that ran between the 2 amps that was not connected. Does anyone know if the amps run through the wiring harness or could they be the 2 plugs that are not hooked up behind the radio? What is the wire that runs between the 2 amps? Thanks for your help.

does it sound like it has no bass?

Sounds like the amps are disconnected.

No, it has bass but it just sounds real "muddy" at higher volumes. Do you know if the amps run through the main harness or are they separate? I may try plugging the 2 amps back together and see what that does. There is no where for the plugs behind the radio to connect to anything on the pioneer head.
