Default No Bass

I got in my car today and realized that I have no bass comming out of the speakers. The sound is clear but if I try to change the bass controls it does nothing. I have a Sony HU and the Mach 460. I find this especially strange because the sub just cut out a month ago( i think its the amp idk for sure) and now this. Any suggestions to what might be going on?

check fuses for the stock amps, pull the deck and see if the remote turn on is still working behind the deck.

Not that my post will help, but I had the same problem a while back when swapping in a stockMP3 HU for my stock 6CD. When I threw the original 6CD back in, everything went back to normal.

the problem is it worked at one time and sounded great. now it all seemed to die at once. and when I was searching for the rear amp fusee, that I still cant find, i discovered that one of the wires going into the RCA converter was severed. Could that have blown my 2 stock amps and my sub amp? At this point I just want the system back to normal before trying to get the sub to work again.

check your manual for fuse locations.

An rca that was grounded could cause problems.

Word X2!!!

A low level input with a very high current level is not a good thing.

maybe it would make more sense if I put a picture up but just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, it was the green with a stripe that inputs in the RCA converter.

ok so I borrowed a buddies amp and installed it. still nothing sub still wont work and the bass is non exsistant. If that helps anyone in locating the problem let me know. Still have yet to check the fuses. Are they in the fuse box or under the amps themselves?

A '99 should be under the dash. If you have Mach 1000 they should be under the hood next to the battery. That's where my '02's were.
