You can do much much better for the same price. If he was giving the stuff away take it, but that equipment is not worth its weight in lead.

So what would be a good deal for about the same price? I know that question has been asked probably 100 times but I want to know just a few brands around that price. Just bought wheels for the pony so down to 1,000 to spend. Mainly looking for SPL and not SQ, cause I listen to a lot of rap more than anything.

Just need an AMP and sub suggestions. Also, is it a bad idea to buy used amps/subs? I planned on buying new but if it's alright to buy used then I might grab deals on eBay instead of paying full price.

Thanks

If you give me a firm budget, myself ttocs, hiss, seight, and pzero can guide you to the light. Do not listen to anyone that throws out JL or alpine as thier first answer.

With a firm budget I can get you a variety of setups that will sound great and be louder then crap.

Would consider adding more then just bass.

The best place toput moneyon a system is the mids and highs, the subs will just accompnay the sound from the rest of the range.

Do you already have an aftermaket HU? Can I please get you a complete system that will sound good over the entire frequncy range.

With 1,200 we could make a complete system for your hearing pleasures.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you just want sub(s) and an amp(s). Given your criteria for what you want involves rap.

Do the right thing and go for the whole way and build a great front stage along with your big spl driver + amp.

Nope, everything is completely stock. Though I was thinking about getting one of the Alpine HU's for the bassblocker.

Yes, Hiss, mainly looking for subs and amps for the bass, I plan on buying the Alpine HU as I said and using the other speakers with all the bass blocked out. Depending on what you guys think My system is totally in ya'lls hands.

We have $1200 to spend right. I know I can throw together a system for that much.

Lets see.

CDT CL-61 comps at woofersetc.com $100
Amp for comps around $100
HU $200
Wiring $40

That leaves around 600 for subs and amp. I can put something together something real nice for that price.
