Sub Crackling?

Sub Crackling?
So I have a Pioneer Deck with a 800W Pioner Mono Amp pushing a MTX 10" 7500 Sub. Problem is after its on for a while, or even just at random the music will cut out to it and there will just be this horrible rmbling and crackling coming from the sub. If I disconnect it and wait, then reconnect it, it works fine. Any idea whats wrong?

RE: Sub Crackling?
It sounds like you could have a problem with a tinsel lead. Remove the sub from the enclosure and then play it a while. If your tinsel lead is bad (its next to where you connect the speaker wire to sub) you might see sparks.

RE: Sub Crackling?
Thats what everyone was expecting from me so I gave it to them. Yes check your tinsel leads. Honestly if not that then I have seen alot of Pioneer amps just act up, where they don't blow up but they don't perform right. They just kinda half *** things. Weird but I myslef would rather have an amp just go out if it's not working right. Saves me guessing and frustration later.
And when you disconnect what? Or do you mean just shut it down and restart the car? Maybe heat, but alot times people think its heat and 90% of the time it's not, car amps were made to run hot as a stove. Just some were made to do it longer and handle it better than others.
If P wasnt clear enough on what the tinsel leads are it's where you connect the wires to the sub, where the terminals are, then if you look within the basket, you'll see wires that run from those terminals and they run into the (yellow?) spider which is that rippley wavey pulp textured piece, and it appears as if they go to the cone then down into the woofer.
