subwoofer question

the lower the amount of ohms the better because ohms stands for resistance so the lower ohms you have the more current(i think?) that can flow through it. that is if im correct

You lower the resistance (ohms) and you get higher voltages and currents. (AKA more POWER)
Many amps are not designed to sustain a low resistance. With the added current output the amp gets hot and dies or turns itself off.
Hey to answer your question-
I have one SoloBaric S12L7 in my 2006 Mustang. It sounds great, even when hooked up using a Line-out converter on the stock system. You can wire the dual 4 ohm speaker to a 2 ohm load (parallel) or 8 ohm load. I did the 2 Ohm, and ran it to a Kicker 750.1 monoblock amp (750 pure RMS/. It is in a ported box, and it really hits hard. The ported box didn't take too much sound quality away, and definately woke the speaker up. Kicker suggests that you use a ported box for the speaker anyway. I promise you that 2 12 inch L7s in a Mustang would be over powering. If you spend the money on one speaker and a better amp, then you will definately be supprised on how great these things sound. Just remember to break it in before you pound it too hard.
