Actually, he really didn't think he had that great of a system. He has PM'ed me a couple times and he has actually purchased another amp, a hifonics, that will actually supply adequate power to the subs.

The amp was only around $50 more then the boss, and he will get much more reliable power.

 

I love it how some people are still under the notion that we tell everyone they need $4000 to have a decent system. When I have started and posted in several threads about the budget system I have under way that I spent less on this entire system then I did for my stereo back when I was un-educated as many people around here are, so we all go out and research stuff spend several hours finding all these awesome companies and products that not too many people know about, and we sum up all of our countless hours gathering info and post it to people to help them out and then they still bitch.

It's fine with me if you want to blow up lots of expensive crap equipment, and then a couple years from now relize that Preal, Hiss, and I were just trying to help and save many people time, money and frustration doing exactly what we were just a few years ago too.

 

I would have never bought that old volfenhag amp or that jensen sub if I knew what I could have done for the same price.

 

Again, there is a truth to what you are all saying but the content of what you are saying is being over ran by how you are saying it. If you came on here with that first equipment you bought saying that you thought it was ok, or at least descent for its price and everyone jumped on you, called what you had "garbage" and basically made you feel like a moron what would you do? Same thing as me and as the guy in this post, tell you to go F@#$ yerself..........

There is nothing wrong with telling someone that they could have spent their money better or that they really did not make the right decision but nobody likes to feel stupid. Calling a product garbage not only makes them feel stupid but in my opinion makes you look like a loudmouth SOB that doesn't know what he is talking about. If I, you or anyone on here went to a camaro forum and said thatcamaro's were "garbage", what do you think they will think of me\you\us? The same as we feel about the GM trolls that come around here, they are idiots....

All I am saying is put yourself in their shoes. remember when you had to ask what RMS is some other really easy question that everyone should know? When you re-read your posts you do not see why people are getting mad at you?

I could not give a damn about mine yours or preal's, but I do about the forums. After being in the business for as long as I have been I do not need to come on here to get questions answered, I come to help people. I assume that since you know everything car audio related that you would also be on here to help people but I really think you are here to make yourself feel good by making others feel bad. People come on here trying to find help and answers to questions they are afraid to ask. People like you make it hard on these folks that might be able to help you later down the road if you don't scare them off or make them feel stupid. The more the merrier as far as I am concerned as long as they don't act like you guys.................... There are already too many people like yourselfs on here, we don't need more sending more people off.

I would rather have 10 honest newbs on here that do not know what RMS is then 1 of you guys that knows everything. You guys have done some help but I bet you have sent more people off pissed then happy...........

 

L7s are a good sub but if u want loud 1 12' solo x would blow the **** outta 2 l7's. I had 2 L7s in a 88 hatch of a kicker 1200.1 puttin 1500 rms. Was pretty loud prob twic as loud as them with a boss 2500. Now upgraded to a solo x 12 at 3.2^2ft. Now that hits so hard. Got it metered and its doing 149.2 dbs, and that with a hole in the spair assembly of the speaker. But if u think it sounds good it sounds good to you. But by no means are square speakers made for sounding good they do 1 thing and its get loud. If u wat sq go with re xxx, tc sounds, w7's, O, eclipse titaniums. In my lincoln i ahve 2 of the new xxx's and that sounds good and prob gets twice as loud as those kickers but that cost alot of money, also L7s are not sold at bestbuy.

 

also ne other thing if ur running tha boss of a stock car no upgrades in alt or batts, u can obviously tell there that ur not getting ur 2500 watts, running a kickr 1200.1 i couldnt do it stock. Now i have 200 amp alt plus 2 batts 1 being a kinetik 1800. And i still drp down to 12 volts when my 2500.1 hits with a solo x.
