So is Pioneer likethe plague, or just a lower end sort of thing.
Because I hate Sony, don't like Polk, Alpines look crappy(well, their cd players do) and I dislike JL. I don't hear much about Pioneer from this site. Why is that?
I'm not trying to sound angry, it's just wierd to me.

Pioneer is good for entry level equipment. Quite frankly, they make descent headunits and some very nice coax's (REV series).

With the pricing on the internet, if I can buy an eclipse HU for the same price as a pioneer, I'll get the better brand.

Pioneer is my second choice to Eclipse.

I only go high-end on my headunit though. I just bought the cheapest and lowest end cd player in my life and it's the Eclipse CD-5000 for my escort DD car. Which anyone around here can also tell you is nothing to shake a stick at.

Werd, when it comes to head units. I wasn't old enough to have a credit/debit card when I bought my head unit (and my parents are still afraid to buy stuff over the internet), and I never really researched anything before I bought my Pioneer head unit. I just liked the way it looked and how simple it was for me. But now that I know a little more, I could have gotten an much better deal (even though I got this one for Christmas) and may have even gone Eclipse (but probably just a higher-end Pioneer Premier). But they make some great head units... I don't really recommend anything else by them though.

The ability to store 10 gigs to the hard drive, and wireless voice activated bluetooth are great.

I was not big on pioneer for a while but they have come up in the last few years again. My personal favorite is alpine but I agree that they do not look the best, but not the worst either. I like the reliability of them after installing them for years now.........

I choose Eclipse first, then Pioneer. If I confused you.

Alpines I find are a pain in the *** to use. Had mine 3 months before it got stolen and I was "finding" new features every week. Oh well someone else's headache now! Got the insurance money to pay for my CD-7000. Im almost glad it got stolen. Almost.

Yeah I know thats what I was saying. I was just talking about Pioneer because that is what the topic is about. But Eclipse is better quality, I'm just not sure if I like how they look over the Pioneers.
