Default installing new headunit

I have a Sony CDX-MP70 out of my old car and figured I might as well throw it in the cobra... quick question, do I just need this kit: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-iYiifz7...mp;I=142C4FDK5and then its just plug and play? I've seen alot of people on here that have had problems installing aftermarket cd players and having speakers not work and such, so with this kit should my system still work 100% the same now with just a new cd player. Also, do I just disconnect the seperate cd player?because I want to mount gauges where that is.

thanks, Carl

you do not need to spend that much, it will not really sound that good either.

Check out page 2 of my sig.
