Bass Cuts...
Alright, I have a bit of a problem right now with my stock Mach 460 System. Whenever the bass becomes too much (sometime it's only 3 bars), it sounds like all the bass cuts out for like 5 seconds, than comes back...and it will keep doing this. Anyone have any idea's on the problem and/or a fix. And by fix I don't mean "get a new system" unless of course there is nothing that can be done.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I would do the following. This is a good rule of thumb for all stereo if it cuts out on low frequencies.
1. Make sure the speaker wire connections on the speaker are tight.
2. Make sure the connections on the back of the HU/amp are tight.
3. Remove the wire from one speaker and see if it still happens, check both sides. You could have a frayed wire that is shorting out.

I have never heard of any problems like this with the mach. It doesn't have a thermal protection or impedence protection so it would have to be a loose wire somewhere. Maybe the bass is causing it to rattle loose? Try wiggling the hnrs's to the amps under the rear deck and see if it cuts in or out.
