The 460 Mach was first available in 1995. But, I'm 99% positive mines not the mach, just the stock stereo.

I'm sure there's a factory amp in there. I found it located under the cd player, but I can only find one plug for the bypass. I have no idea where the other plug is???

the head unit acts as an amp, you sure you found a amp and not part of the radio tuner?

Pretty Positive. The harness kit I bought for the hu came with three plugs. The first two fit fine and I've got it all wired up. The cd player works and everything, just no sound. There's a third plug that has connections at both ends (the bypass). One end I fit into what I'm almost positive to be either the input or output of the factory amp and I can't find the other factory amp plug.
