does anyone know anything about the power acoustik brand.. i've been seeing them online a lot and now best buy sells that brand.. just wondering if their any good

 

Their biggest "loudest" subwoofer can be found on the net for $130 NIB, along witha "2500" watt amp for about $150. I had 2 of their FUBARS in my bonneville when I worked at BB. And I went through 4 pairs of them in about 3 months. The last pair I took it super easy on them for almost 2 months and once I did that they held up for about another month as opposed to the other ones only lasting a couple weeks total. Those Dual bandpass packages, I had 2 of those in my trunk so I had 4-12's in it at one time. Those lasted longer than the Power Acoustik's did. And I had 2 1200.1 PG's hooked up to those. It was loud, I beat the crap out of them with those PG amp's, but it sounded soooooo bad. Worst sounding subwoofers I have ever had hands down.

But they were pretty tough!

 

You should really stay away from anything they sell from best buy.

 

Unless it's movies or cd's.

 

But those are still overpriced.

 

I only buy movies that are on sale, if their not, I wait until they finally do.

 

the only reason I can find to go into best buy it to either annoy the sales people the EXACT same way customers used to annoy me or to burn the place down. Luckily I have been in the store 2 times in 10 yrs and I didn't have any matches and could not find two sticks to run together(not for lack of trying!)...........

I really really really hate that place...........
