Default New Edge Help!

Ok, so in the next weeks I'll be getting front comp. speakers for my 02 gt. I believe my car has the stock 460 system in it in it. How doI get to the front speakers? How hard is it? ( My stang isn't my DD, so I can take as much time with it as I want) I'm a newbie, should I get someone with experience to do this? I plan to remove my rear speaker too, how do I get to those?

if you still have the stock deck you will have problems. The impedence of the aftermarket speakers is not the same as the stock speakers just to cause problems.

When we discussed the comps I placed in amp in his budget as well. If he takes that out, all bets are off.

The aftermarket speakers will stay play, but might be limited by a lot of different aspects of a factory system.

Ok there seems to be some confusion here. 1.) I'm not sure why the amp matters when swaping stock speaker for comps, but yes I will have the amp PReal suggested. 2.) Stock deck? I'm guessing it's the same as head unit, I have a pioneer head unit. Sorry if my question wasn't clear. What I want to know is how to take out the stock speakers, as in do I need to take off the door panel, and if so how? and then what do I do after that?

ok, as long as you have an amp in there you will be fine.

Yes to replace the door speakers you will need to pull the door panel off.

Is there a write up on how to do this? I don't want to take the doors panel off then get stuck and then not know how to put it back together.

It's not hard there is maybe 6 screws holding it to the door's "frame" if you will. Then you will hold the door all the way open, you'll need to lift the door panel up and then the hooks will be unhooked from the door, and then you can pull it strait away from the door.

who are you and how experienced are you? It is not easy and not hard all at the same time but I don't know if you are 15 and waiting to rip into yer momma's stang or if you are familiar with taking things apart and putting them back together. Its only door speakers so its not like its your breaks but still......

I thought the same thing, I was like "Dude it's not a stroker kit". Heck the first Mustang door panel I took off wasn't even mine, so if I messed it up... I had to fix it and look like a jackass for "not knowing what I was doing".
