Default Will this fit??? Elemental Design equipment

alright I'm ordering this tonight or early tomorrow morning so I need responses quick lol

(1) 130v.2 Sub
(1) Nine.2x Amp
(1)13Ov.2 Vented Enclosure w/ Carpet. the dimensions on that are W - 25", H - 14.5", D - 16"

I own a 2005 Mustang... and I want to fit a bat bag in the back (atleast)...

Let me know what you all think... I'm trying to see if it will fit well. cause it seems a little big but I aint sure.

good choice. i would just build/have someone build a custom box for you. or you could get the Scosche box that tucks away in the right hand corner of the trunk. the box i suggested is a sealed box; they recommend a 1.0 cF box for that sub. the scosche box is 1.2 cF. and it fits perfectly in the car. $140 is a bit steep for a box though. i would buy it, duplicate it, then return it:

Scosche custom box for 05 Mustang

btw i know it says for a 12", but it could be trimmed to fit the 13" eD sub.

That enclosure may be too high, im not sire about the 05+ so do some measuring, and also consider how you will get it in. Alot of things will fit in your trunk...If you build it inside of it. Getting it in is generally the battle.

Otherwise have a shop build one for you if you dont feel comfortable doing it yourself. It will cost almost the exact same to have a shop build one for you ($150).

Everything looks good man, your going with the black cone version right!? It looks awesome in black

the box i posted is custom built specifically for the S197, seight. it tucks away in the same spot that the JL stealthbox would on a SN95. right behind the right tailight.

ok ya thanks for yalls input. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to get a sealed box. I'm not going to worry about the scosche box.. I mean ya it looks nice tucked away in the side.. but i'm not going for the stealth look. other than that I just want to keep it simple for now
its my first setup

well you are getting some really nice equipment. just because it is your first set-up, doesn't mean that it shouldn't get a nice enclosure. are you going to get the eD sealed box? either way i would just have one custom built. even if you do a regular custom box flushed in against the rear seats (with the sub firing to the rear of the car). i have a sealed 2 10" box that was built for my car. the shop charged me 60 bucks for the box. just an FYI.

ya I went with the sealed from eD. I'll probably stick with that unless the people I go to for installation (ya I can't do it myself) can come up with some better. maybe they can I don't know.

and no I didn't want to go all black with the subs.. haha I went with the silver. black might have looked pretty but i didn't want to take the risk.. haha. maybe there is no risk. either way I'm hoping this will sound good when its all good

this is what I went with

Alpine IDA-X001 HU
eD 13Ov.2 sub
NINe.2x amp
Sealed Enclosure for 130v.2 from Elemental design.

I think it should be pretty good.. lemme know and I'll let yall know when it gets installed and stuff

that sounds good. you should upgrade the speakers and add another amp for them (later i guess). also you should have the shop cut up some cardboard and cover it with carpet; then have them flush in your box to the trunk. it gives it that finishing touch. check my gallery on the left (click the camera). you might want to look into a nice grille for the sub too (or have one made) because you sound like you are still going to be using your trunk a lot.

also let me know how the head unit works out for you. i'm really thinking about getting it since i don't use CDs anymore. let me know if you can change the color of the buttons from blue to red. i think i have seen pics of it lit-up red so if that is the case, then i will think about it even harder. i hate the new trend of blue backlighting for aftermarket HUs. [:'(]. ricey and doesn't match Ford interiors!

You got the dual 2 ohm version of that sub to run that amp, right?
