Default Sanding & Painting sub cone

Do you think it would be possible to sanddown the face of my Type R cone and paint it to match my body color? Any ideas on how to go about it?

I have sanded and repaired a cone with metal filler before. I have also painted part of a cone before. I would make sure you prime it first, but go for it.

I would keep the paint light if at all....

A speaker is a very precise machine. Even a little bit of weight on the cone, moving around that fast can cause speaker problems....

Word.

I could go into the details, but I'll refrain.

At least he will be able to cover the shame of the Type R logo...JK!

blaupunkt made some really crappy speakers and subs with a clear blue cone. I also think I saw some clear pyramids back in the day.

Sand as little as possible, and paint as little and evenly as possible and you shouldn't have any problems.

oh yea i do remember those blaupunkts. they had blue neons in them right? yea i didn't mean crap like that though. i meant a GOOD company. it would probably never happen though because they aren't in to gimmicks like that. i pictured in my head a completely clear (acrylic maybe?) cone that lets you see straight into the motor and voice coils.
