Default In Dash DVD Suggestions

Just got my new 07 GT and am wanting to install in in-dash DVD player with motorized screen. I am wanting to stick to teh lower end stuff for now and see how well that works. I'll keep stick speakers so no thumping. If it turns out I need to upgrade later, I'll pass this one down to my daughter.

I would like it to have a TV tuner and the ability to control a 5th-6th gen ipod and pass video to it's display. In addition, I'll need a dash adapter to install this. I think the best one would be one that places the player as low as possible so the screen does not stick up too high and interfere with the vents?

Any suggestions would be geratly appreciated. Also something that is black and blends into the interior well would be a bonus.

Thanks gang!!

My shop has done a couple of double din conversions on the g35's that look sweet. They order a skyline dash from japan and it could not look better but it is about a $400 kit.......

That is exactly what I am doing. We are even going to solder the Dual climate control button into the skyling unit.

Hopefully running, diamond amps, cdt comps, fi audio sub, and lots of deadening.

Steve,

I just had a Kenwood DDX 6019 installed in my 04 GT and it looks sweet. Here is a picture of what it looks like. It's a Double Din. A co-worker has an 06 GT and A double din DVD player would look awesome in his, probably better than it does in mine given the location of the head unit. It's also black so it blends in nicely with the interior of the car, actually looks like it came with it right out of the factory.

I got mine for about $700, it goes for about 900-1200 on the internet depending on where you buy it, I saw it on Ebay for $615. I'm sure some of the guys here can tell you where to get a nice DVD Player for a lot less. Like everybody else, I'd recommend staying away from the Single Din Flip Up DVD players. They don't look nearly as nice and tend to cover up some of the ***** when they flip up.

The only problem I had with the HU was that it cut the bass in half, but I was told that you could get the bass back (or even improve it) but adding a Line Driver and from what I've gathered, they're pretty cheap as well.

That install is really nice. If you're going to run video, its either double din or removable.

Thanks. The installer was pretty proud of the install. He took pictures of it to show future customers.
