Default Question about MDF

I am preparing to build my sub box and amp rack and was wondering if going with the ultralight MDF vs. regular MDF made a difference. Will the ultralight MDF make the sub less effective since it is lighter? It costs more but I think it would be much easier to remove and won't weigh as much in my car. Any thoughts or experience with the stuff?

if you want to save weight I would go with a little thinner mdf and then add some fiber glass resin to it.........

Or save alot of weight and make a fiberglass box. you will ofcourse need atleast one side to still be MDF, but thats alot less weight.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to stick with the regular MDF for the box and use the light stuff for the amp rack. Y'all rock....too bad my car doesn't...YET!
