Car Alarm Question
Hey,
My truck got broken into last night, and as a result, I have made the decision to install a new alarm in the Mustang.
I want this to be high quality, professionally installed.... I basically want to do this right. I am talking about one that would make all the lights flash, horns blare, even makes the keychain vibrate or something along those lines. Any suggestions on what to go with?

DEI is one of the more popular and reliable alarms. They make Sidewinder, viper, python, and they are all about the same. It is more important to check the shop and how they install it. Do they solder connections or use crimp connectors? Do they try to hide the module or just stick it up there? A great alarm with a bad install is little more then a fire hazard.....

Go Code-Alarm, and yes look for places that solder everything, dont go to a box store, check your local shops.

Has amazing range, I myself field tested one of these it has a true mile range on it with a hill obstructing it. Amazing unit. Plus 2-way feature so you know exactly what your car is doing at all times. Want to talk about bells and whistles? You can use your remote to see what the temperature is inside the car, you hit the button and it sends the signal and it reads out on your screen, so when you wake up you can hit that button and see if you do need to remote start it to warm it up or cool it down. You can also incorporate the add on pieces, one piece you can use your cell phone and call your alarm (not actually call your alarm it's an automted service and it's sent to your car via satellite) and you have access to all the options you do with the remote, when your out of range. Say you let the wife borrow the car and she locked the remote in the car, call the number and you can lock, remote start, unlock, check status (see if the car has had the sensors tripped at all), set off the panic. It's like onstar without the monthly bill. And im not sure if the have it yet but if not its coming soon where you can pull out your remote and it will have a directional arrow pointing to where your car is. Super handy at the concerts and big malls, or for women in general.
Yeah it's badass...
