Default CD Changer Hookups?

Okay, I don't know a whole lot about car audio... infact I know that there are speakers where they are and that I have a CD player and that's about it. I have an 85 Mustang GT and me and my bud were changing the hatch the other day and decided to change the speaker covers in the back. I had a couple that were in nicer condition lying around so we figured why not since we were there anyway. We took the covers off and he found two prongs (looked like Ipod hook ups kind of) where his speaker slot was. He's a tech-savy guy he works mostly in tech involved with theatre but said that they could be used to either hook up an Ipod, or hook up a CD changer. Does anyone know if this is true or if he was wrong? Did this come stock or was it added in? I think one cable was red and one was green. Thanks for any help!

I can promis that you did not find the stock ipod hookup, or the stock cd changer input in your 85.

It might how ever be the factory x-box 360 connector........
