will a set a component 6.5 fit in the rear of an 06? i know the opening is 5x7/6x8. i've seen adaptors for 5.25s but not 6.5s. if the speaker was raised by an adaptor would it fit in the hole and still get the grill back on? the reason i ask is i have a set, that i took out of my last car, i know they sound better the factories.

Building your own adapters would take 30 minutes and 1 dollar at wal mart.

 

are you talking about using clipboards? your post made me remember the other post but i thought it was about 5 1/4s not 6 1/2s.
