I say 3 10's 
but really it depends on the type of sound you want. 8's will be very punchy and give you tight bass but not very deep. 15's are gonna be loud and deep but music like rock etc. will sound like **** becase the bass will be so loose.

yes i used to listen to rap ..but now no rap...,,,15s are good for rap .....all ready got 2 inch bazookas but not hooked up right now...4x 8 will be like 32 woofer...right... but 8s have more punch like you said....
