Default What sub box do you have in the trunk?

Just wondering what people have been able to put in the trunk.

Mostly the 1988 style ragtops tho.

Looks like 2 12's will fit, if not, 10's should do nice at about 1000 watts.

I looked at several options before I did what I did for my 90. I didnt like the idea of putting subs in the trunk and having no way for the sound or air to enter the cabin, seemed like things would just rattle. I went to several shops, and I was unable to find anyone that had installed that type of box in a vert, or knew what they sounded like. I wound up building a custom box. Since these pics were taken, I replaced the sub with a Kicker and have a better sound.

The box is built so that it is under the top well. I donot have any issues with the top folding down, and it sound good either way. It is also ported to the back seat, so when the top is down, I have no issues. If you can come up with something better, I would love to see it. Sorry for the dirty windows.

I've got a 10" Type S with a tiny little non ported box in my hatch. Fits back there great and would probably fit in a trunk real nice.

None... less weight for me!

On a side note, the best quote to come out of the 5.0 editors
"...those ricers with their bass cranked to eleven trying to drown out the sound of my dual exhaust"

+1 for cassidy having old school RF punches

i know this isnt a mustang, but still.... pretty damn impressive, i bought a table saw just to make this thing, and its a PERFECT fit, with exactly the right airspace for each speaker. powered by a kicker 800.4 (800 watts rms) amp, and a kicker kx9 EQ
