My Boston amp SUCKS!
I have the Boston Acoustics GT-22 http://www.bostonacoustics.com/car/c...product_id=248and this things sucks *****!
Everytime I play music for longer than about 25-30 minutes it gets hot and the safety switch cuts it off! Its supposed to have"advanced cooling" but doesnt act like it! I was rearranging my setup in the trunk and accidentaly popped the power fuse so I just left it unhooked for about a week. Now I went to go put a fuse in and it wont even play! The amp turns on, but as soon as I hear the speaker come on it cuts off! WTF! Its acting like the ohm load is too low but I havent changed anything. Its setup just how I had it before and its not even coming on now. I hate this amp! Ive had rockford fosgate and audiobahn amps before and they never cut out on me due to heat or anything. Its just pushing a little 10" eclipse sub.....
I need to find a new amp....

That boston amp is merely trying to keep itself from breakign from your mis-use.
I would check your wiring configuration, and possibly all your wiring. Bostons are solid amps, they sound pretty good too. They are just generally higher priced than I would pay for an amp on that same level. If I found one for the right price, I'd totally buy one.

Maybe you should turn all the gains to zero and slowly adjust the gain up to a point where your amp is producing adequate volume. it also does sound like your resistance is too low, I would buy a voltmeter and check your impedence.
