Default mach 460 question

I know this has been asked a lot but I can't find it on here because the search feature sucks. But my friend has the mach460 and he recently bought a new head unit. So he can hook up subs and an amp just fine right? because he has a new head unit is it the same as any other car?

So he has a new head unit with the rest of a stock 460 system?

Yea, I'm not really sure what your asking, but if he is just changing out everything, should work fine, but if he plans on using the stock amps and stuff, he may run into some issues.

I the head unit has pre amps then it should be an easy hook up. If not it is still easy just a bit longer. What is the HU? I did a write up on how to put a sub into a mustang with the 460 system. I think it is pretty good too!

it has all the mach 460 stuff still in it except he just swapped out the stock mach 460 head unit and got a sony one. But he wants to run subs from an aftermarket amp like you would with any other amp, but i heard he might have to do something different.
