Big 3 Upgrade Help
I am in the process of upgrading the Big 3. I want to make sure I got this correct. Anyone have any pics that they can share? Here are some pics and where I'm stuck:
Battery to Ground - I assume I only need a short cable for this. See pic below:

Battery Positive to Alt - I think I found this one too. I see there is a fuse in between. Do I need to get a fuse for the wire I put in? I don't plan on removing wires, just running the new wires with the originals in place to "help". See pics:
Battery side to alt: http://picasaweb.google.com/pikuoff/...53160779360434
Alt Fuse location: http://picasaweb.google.com/pikuoff/...53152189425810
Alt Wire on Alt: http://picasaweb.google.com/pikuoff/...53147894458498
Engine to Ground - I'm not quite sure where this goes. I think I see the location but I want to make sure. See pic:

The spot with the question mark is what I think the engine gets grounded to but I'm sure 100% sure where on the engine it goes. Any help or comments?
Thanks!

I think there is a wire that comes off your block and just runs to your frame... I have never checked but I think thats where it would be. ttocs may know.
In your first picture, see that black wire? You are replacing the wire, not adding a new one. Thats why they call it an upgrade. When you upgrade your headunit... You replace right?!

The just adding the wires thing came from an older post when I started asking about this and PReal said I could just add the wires. It seemed simpler. Maybe I will add the wires and then unhook or cut the originals.
Either way, am I on the right track with the correct wires so far? Anyone know where the engine to frame wire is or can be easilylocated? Thanks!

Upgrading the big 3 allows the power to flow more freely between main components of the vehicles electrical system. If you experience dimming of your lights when your stereo is cranking, it would be a good idea to upgrade the wiring from the battery to the alternator, battery to ground, and engine to ground. This will free up the current that cannot flow due to restrictive (smaller gauge) wiring. Check out the Sticky from Hisss and Seight up above.
Well I haven't had any issues with lights dimming or anything yet but I haven't really set the gains yet either. They are still turned down but enough to break everything in. I bought the upgrade kit so I figured I might as well install it. I'll check into upgrading the battery after all of this. Anyone that has done the big 3 upgrade have any pics of the engine to ground location or can point me to the right spot? Am I on the right track with the other 2 wires? Thanks!
