I know most will say the Pioneer... but is there anyone out there who can tell me why I should get the eclipse instead?

Pre-out voltage is significantly higher in the 5500
Slightly larger screen in the 5500
A/V input on the 5500
9 EQ bands on the 5500

AVIC has a few things better though...
Has an AUX input
Plays WMA files (if you actually use WMA's [:-])
Will connect with both XM and Sirius, I have no use for satellite radio, but if I did get it I would go Sirius anyway, it's much better.

So basically my vote is for the Eclipse, the 5v preout is prolly the biggest thing for me. And the AV input is always nice too, incase you decide to go nuts and put one of those slim PS2's in your stang or something!

Just cd and nav? Yeah Eclipse CD7100 is badass, wish I would have waited on my CD7000 and bought the 7100. Screen colors are a bit better and you get the monstorous 8 volt preouts. But thats more for the person that is a SQ freak that wants to use nav every once and a while. I would stick with the 2 your looking at if you want video and you will use the nav more than once every couple months.
