seems a little to much space for just a 10" sub.

 

those subs require alot of space. nice setup!

 

The W7 series of subs are just about the best subs ever created. One little 10' like that will blow away most people 12's. You did it right! Im sure that sounds amazing.

On a side note, I know people like to face their subs back so when the pop the trunk people can see what they have, but if you face it towards your back seat you would be amazed at the sound difference and how much better/louder it is.

I'm putting 2 10"s in my car, I'm gunna put the box against the back seat with the subs facing the seats. That way it'll be loud, and if I ever wanted to show 'em off I could just pull the seats down.

 

If your referring to having the cone face the backseat and not face the trunklid, your absolutly incorrect. Ambience is created when the woofers fire towards the rear of car. Thats how it is generally (98% of the time) loudest.

W7 require a decent amount of space yes.
Best woofer ever created?... maybe in the top 10. I can name 15 12" woofers that would kill a 10" W7 off the top of my head. I can name a $200 15" that would also destroy it.

I wouldn't compare them anymore since they are just as much or more than a W7 but back before they sold out to USAmps and the XXX was a $450 woofer, yes the XXX was an amazing speaker.

Not sure man, I know I have caught up and possibly passed him in posts. PReal isn't around more than a post or two a week. I kinda did the same a while back though. Sometimes, as hard as it is to say, everyone just needs a break from mf.com...

 

the 10w7 only requires 1.25ft3 of airspace
it may not be the best, but it does get very loud off of 500 watts and has amazing sq while doing it. there are a ton of subs that will get louder but not too many will sound better.
now comparing a 10 to a 15 isn't to fair. way more cone area on the 15.
they are a bit $$$ but i feel you get what you pay for and they arequalty subs.
i had a 10w7 off of a 500/1 & now i have a 13w7 off of a 1000/1 and it is a excellent combo for sql.
