Default Not Happy!!!

so i spent a lot for a nice cd player for my car. its a sony and one of the main features i wanted was a usb port so i could plug in my mp3 player, so after spending all afternoon wiring and removing the old stereo, me and my dad finally got the wiring done and all that and we hook up the cd player to test it and we have no right side speakers working. we checked the wirign and everything matched up and still no right side sound. so we leave it alone cuz i had to go to work and when i come back i decided i was going to play my mp3 player on it and when i hook it up i get the message USB NOT SUPRTAppearantly my mp3 player does not work on this radio. So right bout now im pretty pissed and still have no cd player. [:@]

...well what exactly is your question? Seems like something you should have looked into before purchassing...pretty sure they have a specific format for which files a headunit will play....

Its not an Ipod is it? I hear they wont work hooked up via USB you need special Ipod adapters.

So both right speakers are not functioning? hmmm

I don`t know-- I got this one from Crutchfield & hooked it up to my stock 460 system with their adapter. Works great!

i got the speakers working. Called Crutchfield and they knew what the problem was right away. Appearantly on one of the plugs the little metal wire things on the end were bent and they werent making contact. They said this has been a problem with them and that i just had to bend the metal wires a little bit and it should work and it did. Still dont know whats up with the mp3 player though...

I had the same exact problem with the adapter that Crutchfield sent me. They even sent me another adapter---same problem til we figured out the bent pins
