Default mounting a sub backwords?

Ok a good buddy of mine just bought a new audiobahn AWC12T 12" woofer. My first question is is does anyone have any experience with this company or these subs? Is the company/sub any good? He got it for $100. My next questioin is that it has a really cool flame design around the cone, how do u mount a sub backwards in a box? Is it the same as mounting it forwards except for the way its facing?

Hey silver. My ex bought me I think that same sub. I did mount that backwards, have it in a homies blazer right now. Sounds pretty good!

You take the driver with the magnet and motor structure facing out and screw it in.

Audiobahn blows, one of the worst companies out there. If possible return it, asap.

I could type a page that would take 20 minutes to read about why Audiobahn is the biggest crap of the entire car audio industry but...

Audiobahn has marketing masterminds and thats how and why they sell. Their woofers can put out spl with certain models but they are some if not the worst sounding drivers out there. I would run Dual any day of the week before Audiobahn.

Like?

I honestly cannot say anything positive about Audiobahn other than they have a chrome basket. And really I could care less because I would never mount a sub inverted.

A customer that owns a party bus company came in with 3 of their top of the line 12" woofers and 1 of those massive *** amps they make and we hooked it up in a bus for him, nota school bus, like a city bus style bus. And it really wasn't that loud and it sounded aweful.

Well, he also has some early RF P1 or P2 subs, and 2 JL 12s. I am not a fan of RF's subs after hearing those, but if they were the P1's I can understand.

RF is also a brand that since 2003is, lost everything they had. Old RF was relaible and decent equipment.

JL's aren't bad but far overpriced, eBay prices are even rediculous on JL product.

how can you say duals are that good over all the others. they are a bottom end sub for the most part lol. alpine are real good quality i got type R's and they are amazing and very loud with the amp and bass not turned up all the way and would blow away dual's. JVC are also rising up with thier new arsenal series subs. (real high watt output with those)

I'll put those 4 Duals against your Type-R's in a dB drag any day of the week. My friend that had 2 12" Type-R's in his CRX said the loudest stereo he ever heard in person was my Bonneville with 4 Duals.

It's about install guys! Never forget that!

Ain't that the truth. Install, install, install. Except, I don't think anything can help Audiobling. If you mount that sub inverted, you will hear ALOT of mechanical noise, but I guess you will know sooner when it blows
