Default mach 460 ???

Hey there, I've got a 96 gt with the factory 460 system, I've replaced the factory cd with a pioneer using the junk wiring harness from not-so best buy, I have a amp & subs hooked up from the s/w rca preouts on the deck. Are my other speakers running off of deck power or the mach amps??? Long story short, my door woofers fart, can I just replace em with componets or not?? thanks to any one that can help

If you only have a Woofer pre-out then yes your speakers are running off the speaker outputs. You need a deck that has front, rear and woofer (or just front and woofer) pre-outs so you can integrate into the 460 system. That will take care of the super crappy sounding part. Even if you buy components they will do the same thing because your still sending it that bad signal.

my head unit has front & rear rca outs also, just not using them, sound quality has never really been an issue, other than the fact the woofer just blew, guess I should of asked how should I properly wire in this head unit and my subs, I could really car less if I use the mach amps or just head unit power.

also I just unplugged the rear mach amps and the speakers stop working, so I guess they are running off the amps and not the head unit, so what will happen if I replace the factory speakers with componets, and do I use the cross over??
