Okay so I'm kinda new to this... I had a high-output headunit it the car before so there was no amp in the headunit. Now I've gotten a DVD player and pulled all my old wires to start new. I have my mids out of a 4 ch amp, subs out of a 2ch and was going to run the tweeters from the headunit but when i wire the speaker wires to their corresponding colors on the back of the headunit i get no sound, from any of the speakers. Any idea what is going on wrong? The sound comes to through the amps fine and I didnt see a fuse looking at the headunit really quick. My car is in the shop now but I figured I would mentally try to plan how I'm going to fix this when it gets back. Thanks guys

if the deck has no amp in it then how are there speaker wires? Give a list of the equipment with model numbers so that we can better help ya out.

 

There were no speaker wires in the old head unit, the new headunit however has them, the headunit is a Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD

 

I'm sorry what i wrote might be a lil misleading. I can get sound through the speakers hooked to amps. I get no sound from the tweeters which are wired to the headunit

 

check in the menu to see if there is a function to turn the internal amp off, my alpine does. Otherwise try to hook the tweeters up to a different source to see if they play.
