Default Connecting Subs to the Shaker 500

I cant find a thread on connecting the dual subwoofer box to the shaker 500 stereo system in my 06 GT
Is this possible? I obviously need to get the Dual Box and the Amp Rack but is that all? Would I need to run any extra wire harnesses from the Radio to the Trunk?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for your time
Dean

Would love to find out more information on this as well. Currently have 07 GT with Shaker 500. I have a dual box with 12's and and amp to go with it. Would love to hook them up to stock Shaker. Please help us. Thank you.

You have to get a line out converter so that you havethe RCA outputs to hook up the amp. You will also need to run the main power line back from the battery, and a keyed 12 volt signal for the turn on lead. Its not hard I did it with my old Mach 460 system. You get everything you need from a place like Crutchfield.

Just make sure your amp as a low range crossover because the signal will be full range.

you have to install this just like any other car. The shaker does not have RCAs though.

I bought an amp wiring kit from Crutchfield. +12V from the battery to the amp and found a ground in the trunk. Run a turn on lead from the fuse panel in the passenger footwell. I tapped into the rear speakers and ran them to the speaker level input of the amp. The amp gain control is in the center console out of sight. You don't need to run a speaker level to RCA output converter if yout amp has speaker level inputs. You will not hear a difference in sound from a sub this way, especially one that is mounted in the trunk.

The amp has been great so far. I throw stuff on top of it all the time and no heat issues with it either. I bought mainly b/c of the supplied remote boost controller and the price.
