Which CD player is?
Is it the stock one?

And, if you can get pictures that'd probably help, too.

I believe there's 2 bolts underneath the unit that unscrtew and that might take it out, but I'm not sure.

Another way to do it is by taking the panel off. That's achieved [And believe me, it is an achievement, it's pretty hard from past experience] by unscrewing bolts on either side of the console. They should be hidden underneath another pannel, so you need a wrench or two, and they should come out. I believe once you get one off, the rest of the bolts will be shown. Again, I'm not too sure.

I've yet to take my 'stang apart.

But that's how the rest of the cars are. Just get down and look on the bottom of your panels and underneath them. You should find the starting point.

Looks like my car, except mine is a manual.

To take it out you have to first remove two trim pieces. They both snap into place, so you'll need a screw driver. Pop the trim around the shifter off(slim screw driver, very carefully otherwise you'll scratch our plastic.), then pop off the silver trim with the vents and the 3 control buttons(use screwdriver as needed.). After that, you will see two screws that are black right below the head unit. They were covered by that silver trim piece, unscrew and you can remove the head unit.

Good luck with the new head unit! What are you picking up to replace it anyways?
